Mr. Matthew Tabar
It is my pleasure to join the Corpus Christi Academy family. I arrive at “The Academy” from a family of educators; my grandmother, mother, father, and both of my sisters have spent their lives in education. My educational journey brings me to CCA after 19 years in the Lakewood Catholic Schools with a background based in curriculum and instruction, the International Baccalaureate Program, and international studies with the CCWA, Jr.MUN, and CLEIMUN. It is my goal to have a direct impact on the students, faculty, and parish communities and to instill positive values like empathy, social awareness, and human dignity, while remaining reflective, balanced, and open-minded. I will promote and facilitate success that is realized through programs that encourage familial interaction with the school, creation of a number of avenues for open communication, provision of opportunities to involve students, parents, and the community in volunteer efforts, and collaboration with the parish communities to ensure the sustained success of all of our students.
Mrs. Gina Perlatti
I am a graduate of Kent State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration –Business Management and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. My husband Tony and I have two daughters. My oldest, Cassandra, is a St. Clare graduate and is now at Beaumont. My younger daughter, Marissa, will be going into 8th grade and is excited to be a part of the first graduating class of CCA! I am a big animal lover and have two cats, Sophie and Maddie. I enjoy baking, reading, theater and spending time with my friends and family.
Mrs. Darice Granito
I am a proud graduate of John Carroll University with a BSBA in Marketing. My marketing career has led me to wonderful opportunities and advancements from designing advertisements for local, national and international publications, brand and project management for event marketing and print production, among other notable achievements. I am excited for the new foundations of Corpus Christi Academy as we continue to brand our school to the local community.
Pinterest inspired, memory making with passport in-hand vacations, Cricut making crafts and deal finding shopping are a few of the activities I enjoy. In addition to capturing moments with my husband and our two sons, we love spending time with family and friends, going on walks and cheering for our Cleveland sports teams.
Mrs. Cara Mia Duncan
I am so blessed to be a part of the Corpus Christi Academy family. I grew up in Fairport Harbor where I attended St. Anthony of Padua Elementary School and Fairport Harbor Jr/Sr. High School. My family instilled in me a love of community service that is deeply rooted in our Catholic faith. My mother gifted me a love of education, teaching, and music. My father gifted me a love of the outdoors and science. My hope is that the children in our program leave with a sense of confidence as they continue to discover the gifts that God has given to them.
Mrs. Sara Dvorak
Greetings CCA community! I am excited to join the Corpus Christi Academy team this year as a pre-K teacher. My job is to teach critical life skills, such as self-regulation, problem solving, empathy, kindness, sharing, and respect, to the youngest CCA learners. These skills are perpetual and transferable, and will help a child navigate life’s relationships as they develop and mature. The promise that each child holds is a light our world has yet to see, and in turn, needs to be cultivated and encouraged.
I am a Clevelander through and through. Although my studies have taken me far and wide, I always knew Cleveland was my home. I grew up on the eastside of Cleveland. I received my bachelor’s degree from Cleveland State University, and my master’s degree from Arizona State University. I have 9 years of combined teaching experience, from toddlers to pre-K. I have taught in both private school and museum settings. I am currently working on a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education at John Carroll University. I still live on the eastside with my husband, five children, three cats and two fish.
Miss Donna Olp
I’m a singer of songs and a teller of tales
(Which they say is quite common with forebears from Wales).
I’ve a Master’s in Reading, but it’s Math that I love.
And the teachings of Christ I can’t get enough of!
It’s laughter I’m after, and kindness . . . that, too.
I teach Kindergarten—What else would I do?
Mrs. Terri Ringenbach
I’m very excited to be a part of the Corpus Christi staff. This is my 22nd year teaching. I have taught Kindergarten, Fourth, Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth grade in the past. It has been such a joy teaching First Grade for the last three years. I love watching the wonder and excitement first graders express when they have learned a new concept in both reading and math. When I am not in the classroom, you can find me working with our Junior High Students preparing for the spring musical.
A little background on me, I graduated from the University of Akron with a BS in Elementary Education (grades 1-8). I later attended Ursuline College to obtain my Kindergarten Endorsement. My husband and I live in Lyndhurst with our two children, Brett and Sarah. I love to swim, go to the theatre, and go dancing. As a family we love to go on bike rides and we cheer on the kids in baseball and gymnastics.
Miss Christine Shipley
Welcome aboard Corpus Christi Academy families! I look forward to the unique adventure that each new year brings. I am very excited to be your second grade teacher. I am a graduate of Lake Erie College and hold a P-3 license with a K-12 reading endorsement. I have taught for thirteen years and have experience teaching kindergarten, first, second, and third grade! Second grade is a Sacramental year and I look forward to guiding my students into a deeper relationship with Jesus! I am also passionate about providing my second graders with creative, challenging, and engaging lessons that build upon first grade concepts and skills. Students never know what to expect when they come to school each day. The room may be transformed into an airplane ready to take them to different continents so they can explore habitats, exports, and culture or I may be dressed up as the Queen of the Land of Time ready to immerse them our telling time unit. I feel student engagement is key for lasting learning.
I have lived most of my life in Chesterland. I enjoy my country summers but not the snowbelt winters! I have a younger brother, supportive parents, and two cats! I enjoy spending time by the water, New York City, musicals/theater, time with friends, going to concerts, listening to music, watching Cleveland sports, knitting, photography, collecting quotes, and being active! I look forward to getting to know all of you as we we sail into second grade together.

Grade 6 Homeroom: 6, 7, 8 Math & Science:
Mrs. Lisa Greathouse
I am so excited to be teaching math and science to the 6th-8th graders at Corpus Christi Academy. As a graduate of John Carroll University, I majored in Education with concentrations in Middle School Math and Science. This will be my 12th year teaching middle school. Although I was born and raised in Northeast Ohio, the first half of my teaching career was spent in Orlando, Florida. My family and love for home brought me back to the cold! In my spare time I love being with my family and friends, running and hiking in the many beautiful parks around the area, and especially watching all Cleveland sports! I just got married this past summer and moved to Chardon, Ohio with my husband.
Grade 7 Homeroom: 6, 7, 8 Language Arts:
Ms. Luci Kopcak
Hi, I am a graduate of John Carroll University with a major in education, history, and a minor in French. As a cheerleader I developed a love of football which still continues today. My three children Michael, Christopher, and Darice, their spouses, and five grandchildren Brady, Olivia, Michael, Vivian, Luke, and a sixth grandson is due soon. Of course my kitty, Pinki, so named for my favorite color, rounds out my family. Celebrating the usual and unusual holidays is also my trademark. Doing arts and crafts, gardening, traveling, and of course baking are some of the activities that I enjoy. I guess my love of teaching began at an early age when I would pretend the stuffed animals were my students. Little did I know that someday I would be my children’s teacher – a dream come true. Over the years my love of teaching has had exponential growth and the dream continues.
