Meet Our Teachers & Staff
Mrs. Cara Mia Duncan
I am so happy to be a part of Corpus Christi Academy. I grew up in Fairport Harbor where I attended St. Anthony of Padua for elementary school and then Fairport Harding High School. I then attended Lake Erie College for my undergraduate degree and John Carroll University for my graduate degree. I have taught in Catholic schools, private schools, and as a museum based educator with a focus on gardening and outdoor education.
My husband and I have been married for 19 years and we have two children. Our son Isaac is 12 and our daughter Josefina is 10. As a family we are always up for an adventure outdoors!
Miss Donna Olp
I’m a singer of songs and a teller of tales
(Which they say is quite common with forebears from Wales).
I’ve a Master’s in Reading, but it’s Math that I love.
And the teachings of Christ I can’t get enough of!
It’s laughter I’m after, and kindness . . . that, too.
I teach Kindergarten—What else would I do?
Mrs. Terri Ringenbach
I’m very excited to be a part of the Corpus Christi staff. This is my 22nd year teaching. I have taught Kindergarten, Fourth, Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth grade in the past. It has been such a joy teaching First Grade for the last three years. I love watching the wonder and excitement first graders express when they have learned a new concept in both reading and math. When I am not in the classroom, you can find me working with our Junior High Students preparing for the spring musical.
A little background on me, I graduated from the University of Akron with a BS in Elementary Education (grades 1-8). I later attended Ursuline College to obtain my Kindergarten Endorsement. My husband and I live in Lyndhurst with our two children, Brett and Sarah. I love to swim, go to the theatre, and go dancing. As a family we love to go on bike rides and we cheer on the kids in baseball and gymnastics.
Miss Christine Shipley
Welcome aboard Corpus Christi Academy families! I look forward to the unique adventure that each new year brings. I am very excited to be your second grade teacher. I am a graduate of Lake Erie College and hold a P-3 license with a K-12 reading endorsement. I have taught for thirteen years and have experience teaching kindergarten, first, second, and third grade! Second grade is a Sacramental year and I look forward to guiding my students into a deeper relationship with Jesus! I am also passionate about providing my second graders with creative, challenging, and engaging lessons that build upon first grade concepts and skills. Students never know what to expect when they come to school each day. The room may be transformed into an airplane ready to take them to different continents so they can explore habitats, exports, and culture or I may be dressed up as the Queen of the Land of Time ready to immerse them our telling time unit. I feel student engagement is key for lasting learning.
I have lived most of my life in Chesterland. I enjoy my country summers but not the snowbelt winters! I have a younger brother, supportive parents, and two cats! I enjoy spending time by the water, New York City, musicals/theater, time with friends, going to concerts, listening to music, watching Cleveland sports, knitting, photography, collecting quotes, and being active! I look forward to getting to know all of you as we we sail into second grade together.
Mrs. Lindsey Phillipp
Hello! My name is Lindsey Phillipp and I’m the third grade teacher at Corpus Christi Academy. I am a Kent State university graduate and I hold a license for Pre-k through fifth grade. I previously worked in a school with the Diocese of Youngstown for five years where I taught both second and fourth grade. I also taught third grade at Saint Clare School for three years. This is my third year teaching at Corpus Christi Academy!
When I am not at school, some of my interests are traveling, crafting, staying active and completing one of my many home improvement projects. I also enjoy spending time with my husband Tyler, our dog Bix and our kitties.
Grade 4 Homeroom: 4, 5 Language Arts:
I am thrilled to be a part of Corpus Christi Academy! I am a graduate of Ohio University with a BS in Education. My degree is in Elementary Education and I am licensed in grades 1-8. I have been teaching for 18 years. Within that time I have taught seventh and eighth grade, third grade and I also taught many years in early childhood. I have been blessed to teach in public, Independent, and Catholic schools. My love in the classroom has always been reading, literacy, and storytelling and I am excited to work with fourth and fifth graders as we explore these ideas together along with social studies and religion for my fourth grade homeroom. We will work together to build a classroom community and make many discoveries along the way.
My husband and I live in Chagrin Falls with our two teenagers, Allie, and Brett. We attend St. Joan of Arc Parish in Chagrin. I love gardening and finding any time outside in nature. I also enjoy reading, painting and designing. I am happy to be a part of Corpus Christi!
Grade 5 Homeroom: 4, 5 Math & Science:
Mrs. Linda Parker
Hello CCA community! I graduated from Malone University with a BS in Elementary Education (K-8). I have taught for a combined total of 19 years. For the past three years I have taught fifth grade (and fourth grade math and science) at Corpus Christi Academy. Before Corpus Christi Academy, I taught fifth grade at St. Clare School for 16 years (10 of those years included fourth grade math). In my years of teaching I have enjoyed working with Student Council, Spiritual Life, Aftercare, and the spring musical. I have also enjoyed collaborating with the other teachers, at CCA, to help to make Literacy Night and the Math Carnival a great success at our school.
My husband, John, and I will be celebrating our eighteenth wedding anniversary this June. We are so blessed to have a four-year-old son, Brayden, who attends Pre-K at CCA. He is truly our miracle child and such a blessing in our lives. We love spending time together as a family. My husband and I love to travel. Whether it is to another country or another state, we always find interesting things to do and see. We love seeing plays and sporting events together (we are big fans of all Cleveland sports teams). We also like to take cooking classes together. My husband is the chef in the family, but I do a pretty good job keeping up with him. I also enjoy photography, singing, and spending time with my friends and family.
Grade 6 Homeroom: 6, 7, 8 Math & Science:
Mrs. Lisa Greathouse
I am so excited to be teaching math and science to the 6th-8th graders at Corpus Christi Academy. As a graduate of John Carroll University, I majored in Education with concentrations in Middle School Math and Science. This will be my 12th year teaching middle school. Although I was born and raised in Northeast Ohio, the first half of my teaching career was spent in Orlando, Florida. My family and love for home brought me back to the cold! In my spare time I love being with my family and friends, running and hiking in the many beautiful parks around the area, and especially watching all Cleveland sports! I just got married this past summer and moved to Chardon, Ohio with my husband.
Grade 7 Homeroom: 6, 7, 8 Language Arts:
Ms. Luci Kopcak
Hi, I am a graduate of John Carroll University with a major in education, history, and a minor in French. As a cheerleader I developed a love of football which still continues today. My three children Michael, Christopher, and Darice, their spouses, and four grandchildren Brady, Olivia, Michael, Vivian, and another grandbaby being born soon are the apples of my eyes. Of course my kitty, Pinki, so named for my favorite color, rounds out my family. Celebrating the usual and unusual holidays is also my trademark. Doing arts and crafts, gardening, traveling, and of course baking are some of the activities that I enjoy. I guess my love of teaching began at an early age when I would pretend the stuffed animals were my students. Little did I know that someday I would be my children’s teacher – a dream come true. Over the years my love of teaching has had exponential growth and the dream continues.
Grade 8 Homeroom: 6, 7, 8 Religion & Social Studies:
Miss Patricia Mascia
It is an honor to be a part of Corpus Christi Academy. Although I “cherish the past,” I look forward to “embracing the future.” Teaching has always been my passion. It is a blessing to come to school each day knowing that I am doing what I love. I attended St. Joseph Collinwood, St. Paschal Baylon, Notre Dame Academy, and Notre Dame College. My theology studies have been inspiring and have helped to deepen my love for the Good God. I am lucky to have three younger brothers, nieces and nephews and very good friends. In addition to teaching, I enjoy all kinds of music especially Motown and jazz and look forward to Edgewater Live in the summer. I appreciate art, especially Impressionism. Reading biographies and playing Nintendo on a rainy summer day are great pastimes. You may also find me watching sports in the comfort of my home. I always look forward to meeting my sixth, seventh and eighth graders as well as their parents and together, with our principal and staff build our new Corpus Christi family.
Primary Teacher Aide:
Mrs. Martha Walter
Preschool Teacher Aide:
Mrs. Monica Warner
My love for teaching little children makes my job so much fun that at times I can’t believe I have been a preschool aide for over 30 years.
I live in Mayfield Heights with my husband Tom and we have three children and three grandchildren. I enjoy spending time with my family and I love taking long walks, attending art and craft festivals, and watching old movies.
Señora Patricia Emping
¡Hola! My name is Señora Emping. I came from Argentina 25 years ago after attending college and I became an elementary school teacher in Math, Spanish, Science, Social Studies, Art and Physical Education. Over my 32 years of teaching, I’ve had very interesting experiences with children from preschool through eighth grade. In 1999 I took my oath to become an American citizen. I am very proud to live and work in this beautiful country and to have the opportunity to share my heritage with all my students.
I believe learning foreign languages and cultures gives children a global perspective and encourages tolerance. We live in a world with many diverse cultures and the more we provide students with the tools needed to understand this diversity, the better off they are going to be. Learning another language also helps students develop their listening and thinking skills. My students are encouraged to think fast and to reason in Spanish; It is very good training for their minds.
I am very excited to share this beautiful and interesting culture and work for this brand new school. I know we are going to have a wonderful time.
Mr. Joseph Prevesk

Both Joseph and Alyssa graduated from Sacred Heart of Jesus Academy and my youngest, Gino will be attending Kindergarten next year at Corpus Christi Academy.
